Application Engineer - UI

As a UI Application Engineer, you will work on implementing designs as per business needs and preferences, using technologies to make the user interfaces responsive to different devices and platforms.You will be responsible for implementing our browser-based and mobile applications software products using Agile methodology and technologies including JavaScript, CSS, and JSON whilst ensuring cross-browser compliance for our products and client deployments, collaborating with analysts, product owners, designer, and other team members to drive out the user interface requirements for solutions.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Support the company’s departments in UX/UI efforts.
  
• Work with UI/UX designer during construction/code of User Interface to ensure the design is developed as planned.
  
• Investigate and keep themselves up-to-date with new tendencies and UI practices.
  
• Implement UI following industry best practices
  
• Keep the line of product designs consistent and up-to-date on UI trends
  
• Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your UI implementations.
  
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  
• Able to follow design and wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  
• Willing and flexible to work with the team to create initiate layouts if mockups or wireframes are not available.
  
• Ensure that User interfaces are compatible with different devices,sizes, browsers and languages particularities (Different longitudes, alignment, etc).
  
• Organized CSS/SASS files correctly and in a scalable form.
  
• Change User Interface implementation as desired by the business owners.
  
• Troubleshoot and UI bug fixing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have an excellent understanding of web technologies
  
• Must have a strong understanding of JSON.
  
• Must have an excellent understanding of HTML.
  
• Must have an excellent understanding of CSS.
  
• Must have a strong understanding of JavaScript.
  
• Must have a strong understanding of Bootstrap.
  
• Good understanding of Eclipse IDE.
  
• Good understanding of MicrosoftVisual Studio.
  
• Good understanding of SASS or SCSS.
  
• Must have a strong understanding of Usability.
  
• Must have a strong understanding of cross browser, cross devices compatibility (Android,Apple, Browsers).
  
• Extensive experience in using UI/CSS best practices to organize code, and a deep understanding of mobile and responsive design.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Travel: Occasional traveling for specific project requirements.
